2. Getting Started
2.1 Accessing PrismaTag Studio
PrismaTag Studio is accessed through a web browser. Users can open the application by navigating to the PrismaTag Studio URL provided by their organization or system administrator.
No software installation is required. Once the application loads, users can proceed to log in using their assigned account credentials.
2.2 User Login and Account States (Trial, Active, Restricted)
Users log in to PrismaTag Studio using their registered email address and password.
Depending on the account status, users may experience different levels of access:
- Trial Account: Provides limited access to features for evaluation purposes. Certain actions, such as watermark-free exports or bulk printing, may be restricted.
- Active Account: Provides full access to available features based on the subscribed plan.
- Restricted Account: Access may be limited due to administrative controls, usage limits, or account-related issues.
Account status indicators are displayed within the application to inform users about any access limitations.
2.3 Application Workspace Overview
After successful login, users are directed to the main workspace of PrismaTag Studio. This workspace is where all label design and management activities are performed.
The updated layout includes:
- A top navigation bar containing Label Size selection, Font settings, Copy controls, Project menu, and Print options
- A central design canvas with horizontal and vertical measurement rulers for precise alignment
- A left-side panel containing data upload options and drag-and-drop design tools
- A top design control toolbar with zoom, alignment, undo/redo, border, and safety margin settings
The interface is designed to provide better structure, improved usability, and faster access to frequently used actions.
2.4 Navigation, Menus, and Panels
PrismaTag Studio features an enhanced and structured navigation layout designed for improved usability and workflow efficiency.
Key navigation components include:
- A top navigation bar containing Label Size selection, Font settings, Copy controls, Project options, and Print functionality
- A left-side panel with data upload options (Excel, CSV, JSON, XML) and REST API integration
- Drag-and-drop design tools including Text, Image, Logo, Table, Date, Time, Label No., Serial No., and Variable
- Shapes tools such as Rectangle, Circle, Triangle, and Line
- Barcode and Symbology options including QR Code, Common, and Compliance types
- Anti-Tamper and Traceability tools such as PrismaTag and PrismaTag Plus
- A top design control toolbar with zoom controls, alignment tools, undo/redo options, border settings, and safety margin configuration
The updated positioning of menus and panels ensure quick access to frequently used tools while maintaining a clean and focused design workspace.
2.5 First-Time Project Setup
When using PrismaTag Studio for the first time, users can begin by creating a new project.
Basic steps for initial project setup include:
- Select the option to create a new project or label
- Choose a predefined label size or define custom dimensions
- Configure basic project settings such as layout and orientation
- Open the label designer to start adding elements to the canvas
Once the initial setup is complete, users can save the project and continue editing it later as required.
