4. Project and Template Management
4.1 Creating a New Project
Users can create a new project to begin designing labels in PrismaTag Studio. A project acts as a central workspace where label layouts, data sources, and design settings are stored together.
To create a new project, users select the option to create a new project from the dashboard. During this step, users can choose the required label size or layout based on their use case. Once the project is created, it opens in the design workspace where users can start adding elements and configuring the label.
Creating separate projects for different labeling requirements helps keep work organized and easy to manage.
4.2 Opening and Importing Existing Projects
PrismaTag Studio allows users to open previously saved projects so they can continue working on existing label designs. Projects can be accessed from the dashboard or project list, making it easy to locate ongoing or completed work.
Users can also import project files that were created earlier. Imported projects retain their original layout, data configuration, and design settings. This allows users to reuse older designs, make updates, or adapt them for new requirements without starting from scratch.
4.3 Saving and Auto-Save Behavior
Users can save projects manually to ensure that all recent changes are stored. Saving regularly is recommended, especially after making major design or data changes.
PrismaTag Studio may also save work automatically at regular intervals to reduce the risk of losing progress due to unexpected interruptions. Auto-save helps protect ongoing work and provides additional reliability during long design sessions.
4.4 Exporting and Importing Label Designs
Label designs can be exported for backup, sharing, or reuse purposes. Exported designs allow users to store label layouts outside the platform or transfer them between environments.
Imported label designs can be opened and edited like regular projects. This feature helps teams maintain consistent designs across multiple projects and supports collaboration by allowing designs to be shared easily.
4.5 Managing Label Templates
PrismaTag Studio allows users to save label designs as templates. Templates store the structure, layout, and element arrangement of a label without locking it to a specific dataset.
Templates can be reused to quickly create new labels with the same design. This helps maintain uniform branding and design standards while reducing the time required to create similar labels repeatedly.
4.6 Layout Presets and Reusable Designs
Layout presets provide predefined design structures that can be reused across different projects. These presets help users apply consistent spacing, alignment, and positioning without manually adjusting each element.
Reusable designs make it easier to scale label creation for multiple products or records while maintaining a consistent and professional appearance across all labels.
