3. Workspace and Interface Guide

3.1 Main Canvas Area

The main canvas area is the central workspace where label designs are created and edited. All design elements appear on this canvas.

Users can place, move, resize, and arrange elements directly on the canvas. The canvas reflects the selected label size and layout, allowing users to visualize the final output while designing.

In the updated version, the canvas includes horizontal and vertical measurement rulers to assist with precise alignment and positioning. Zoom controls are available above the canvas to allow detailed editing and better design accuracy.

3.2 Toolbars and Design Controls

Toolbars provide quick access to commonly used design actions, enabling users to work efficiently and maintain precision while designing labels.

In the updated version, the toolbar includes options for:

  • Adjusting zoom levels for detailed editing and better visibility
  • Undoing and redoing recent actionsx
  • Alignment and positioning controls for accurate element placement
  • Snap/magnet options to assist with structured layout alignment
  • Border settings and safety margin configuration
  • Canvas reset and fit-to-screen view options

These enhanced controls improve usability, design accuracy, and overall workflow efficiency within the label editor.

3.3 Properties and Configuration Panel

The properties panel displays settings related to the currently selected element on the canvas.

From this panel, users can:

  • Edit text content and formatting.
  • Adjust size, position, and alignment.
  • Modify visual properties such as borders and spacing.
  • Configure data-related settings for dynamic elements.

These components are organized into categories such as:

  • Drag-and-drop tools (text, images, tables, dates, serial numbers).
  • Shapes and visual elements.
  • Barcode and QR code options.
  • Anti-tamper and traceability elements.

Users can add any component to the canvas by dragging it from the sidebar.

When working with multiple records or labels, PrismaTag Studio provides thumbnail previews to help users navigate between them.

Thumbnails display a small preview of each label or record, allowing users to quickly switch between designs and review changes across multiple entries.

3.6 Keyboard Shortcuts and Productivity Tips

PrismaTag Studio supports keyboard shortcuts to improve productivity and reduce repetitive actions.

Common shortcuts allow users to:

  • Copy and paste elements.
  • Undo or redo changes.
